A Noble Collaboration: Permaculture and Regenerative Real Estate

We are grateful to be joined by three regional permaculture leaders from across the country; California, Wisconsin, and Georgia.

Join the Latitude Regenerative Real Estate community as we host an inquiry into the intersection of permaculture and regenerative real estate.

 

Our Speakers

drew carlson

Drew Carlson has been studying and implementing Permaculture for 10+ years and has earned two Permaculture Design Certificates. In 2016 Drew became a certified Permaculture Design Certificate Teacher and teaches for the Madison Guild's Slow PDC course. Drew founded the Wisconsin Permaculture Convergence and is the lead coordinator of the event. He owns and operates Full Circle Designs LLC which designs and implements projects ranging from farm-scale designs & living swimming pools to backyard food forests rooted in natural plant communities. Drew and his family reside in Southern Wisconsin where they own and operate Full Circle Farmstead which specializes in holistically grazed beef cattle. He has a bachelor's degree in Environmental Philosophy from UW Stevens Point and a Masters Certificate in Sustainability Leadership from Edgewood College. Drew also worked in the energy efficiency and renewable energy sector for 6+ years and has experience in biomass heating, solar and wind energy.

ruth meghido

Ruth Meghido founded Farm Urbana in Long Beach, CA as part of Meghiddo Architects, AIA, to provide expertise in urban design with the intent and vision to integrate regenerative design farming into the city lifestyle and bring nature closer to where people live and work.

She aims to implement solutions and practices to enhance natural systems and biodiversity. By design, creating a system of farms integrated within the urban environment will reduce waste and pollution, conserves energy and water, and create a locally responsible, nourishing, and nurturing sustainable environment. Farm Urbana wants to benefit the community and the environment and create a well-rounded prototype of a circular economy while advancing climate change mediation.

Ruth believes that climate change Is everybody’s business, and urban farming can yield to making our cities resilient and prosperous.

jamie rosenthal

Jamie Rosenthal, of Roots Down in Scottdale, GA, is an experienced permaculture and urban agriculture professional with over 20 years designing, installing, and maintaining food forests and pollinator habitat. He holds several permaculture design certificates, and is a noted public speaker and expert on permaculture design.
