Overview

This property has a long history of welcoming guests to the idyllic Marrowstone Island. Since the 1940’s, the existing cabins have been host for families to enjoy the best of the Pacific Northwest. With unparalleled views of snow capped Olympic mountains and the calm Sound water, the existing cabins and land hold the spirit of decades worth of good times.

The beauty of this place can’t help but take your breath away. It beacons you to stay, explore, and fall in love. When we fall in love with a place, we become compelled to take care of it. Steward it, and breath life back into it.

This goal of this project is to bring back the Marrowstone Inn, and reinvigorate it as an acupuncture point to cultivate community and welcome travelers. The Inn has the potential to be one of the most notable hotels in the Pacific Northwest offering immersive experiences in a 4-star setting where guests can connect to the wonders of self and nature.

The views of the Olympic mountains and Tahoma (Mt. Rainier) are jaw-dropping. This is the ideal place to invite people to restore, regenerate, and be part of purpose-driven hospitality.”

- Neal Collins, Developer

The Inn sits on 7.22 land acres with 11 acres of deeded tidelands and 650 feet of waterfront beach next to a state marine park. It has a historic Scandinavian-style lodge to host parties and events, 11 cabins each with their own decks and views of the ocean, a rustic barn, garage / workshop, and a caretaker’s home. A conditional use permit has been secured to allow for additional cabins to be added to the property.

Regenerative Travel

Regenerative travel, an emerging trend in the tourism industry, simply means leaving a place better than you found it. A Regenerative approach to tourism includes:

  1. Connecting people and their place in deep, purposeful, and meaningful relationships.

  2. Putting that shared purpose into action by developing hosting experiences and infrastructure enlivened by local story, learning, and care.

  3. Growing capacity for flourishing and resilience among people, businesses, communities, and ecologies.

“ Our purpose in every activity is to contribute to the vitality and healing of ecosystems and human relationships, essential for the well-being of community, economy, and our collective health.” - Nathan Reimer, Developer
