Land acknowledgement

I respectfully acknowledge that my residence is occupied on Coast Salish land and on the homelands of the Duwamish people. I pay respect to Coast Salish Elders past and present and extend that respect to their descendants and to all Indigenous people. To acknowledge this land is to recognize the history of physical and cultural genocide and settler colonialism, which continues to displace Indigenous people today.

As a regenerative realtor and yoga teacher, I aim to transform your perception of homeownership. Prioritizing financial education, I emphasize the holistic connection between the physical home and body. Viewing real estate as unique spaces, not commodities, I advocate responsible stewardship, engaging with communities and addressing housing affordability.

Haley Rae Derge, raised near the Great Lakes in rural Wisconsin, spent summers fishing and camping in the North Woods.

As the first in her family to attend college, she carried the hopes of her loved ones. Her father, Dean Derge, started his own ornamental ironworks business at 16, following in the footsteps of his father, Lloyd Derge, married to Evelyn. Haley Rae's mother, Patricia Hartmann, daughter of Shirley and Frank Hartmann, found joy in raising Haley Rae and her brother, Macaulay.

After earning a degree in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Haley Rae embarked on a purposeful career, specializing in affordable housing through historic restoration. While fulfilling, it exposed the limitations of a profit-focused system. After two years, she courageously shifted her career towards a more intimate, wellness-focused approach, desiring closer connections with clients in person.

In 2018 Haley Rae embarked on a transformative journey by becoming a yoga teacher.

After her 200-hour teacher training, she delved into mindful movement, experiencing personal growth and sparking a broader societal question: How can we integrate various aspects of our lives to foster well-being and mutual support?

This led Haley Rae to make a community impact in yoga studios, corporate offices, and wellness workshops. The pandemic compelled her to shift her in-person work, driving her to obtain her Washington Realtor License in 2021. Eager to incorporate wellness principles into her real estate career, she encountered skepticism from industry professionals. In 2022, she found her way to Latitude Regenerative Real Estate—a fortuitous match that validated her choice to trust her instincts over skeptics. This mindset now shapes her approach with real estate clients, emphasizing honesty and transparent communication in her work.

Envisioning future communities where neighbors know and support each other, Haley aims to rekindle the value of connectedness and belonging, especially in a bustling city like Seattle.

Haley Rae admires pocket neighborhoods, championing community empowerment. Influenced by "Eviction" by Matthew Desmond, set near her hometown of Kewaskum, she's driven to address the injustices revealed, intensifying her commitment to making a difference in real estate.

For Haley Rae, regeneration extends beyond real estate, shaping her daily practice of caring for both body and mind, fostering continuous growth and self-improvement. Particularly passionate about working with first-time homebuyers, she enjoys guiding them creatively toward househacking and homeownership/stewardship.

Understanding the profound emotions tied to buying and selling homes, Haley empathizes with the rollercoaster of feelings. Her childhood experience of witnessing her family home for sale during her parents' divorce fueled her desire to be a pillar of support for others in life-changing transitions.

With each step, Haley Rae Derge is determined to weave wellness, regeneration, and mindful connection into her life and work, leaving a lasting impact. Her tale of hope, perseverance, and transformation continues, forever intertwining her passion for real estate with the essence of her being.
